Six principles.
One constant discipline.

The market is not a puzzle to be solved once. It is a living system — requiring not cleverness, but adaptive discipline applied without emotion.

●——● SIX PRINCIPLES

The governing framework.

Six principles that govern every trading decision, research hypothesis, and infrastructure choice made at Salt Route.

01

Process Over Prediction

We do not forecast. We build structured conditions for entries, let probabilities compound over repetition, and size accordingly. The market does not owe us a prediction — it rewards consistent process.

02

Evidence Before Position

Every trade requires a pre-trade checklist score. Minimum threshold enforced. Intuition is acknowledged — but not sufficient. Gut feel earns its place through systematic validation, not seniority.

03

Asymmetric Risk Architecture

Winners are structured to run in tranches via T1/T2/T3 ladders. Losers are cut at predefined levels. No single position carries the weight of survival. Asymmetry is designed in — not hoped for.

04

Infrastructure as Moat

The edge is not the signal alone — it is the system that surfaces, filters, executes, monitors, and learns from every trade continuously. Infrastructure built in-house compounds over time. Vendor dependency does not.

05

Behavioral Accountability

Known failure patterns — revenge trading, expiry-day sizing, opening-hour overtrading — are logged, tagged, and constrained by system rules. Discipline is engineered, not aspirational. Rules govern where willpower fails.

06

Research as Foundation

Every trading decision rests on documented, tested hypotheses. Intuition earns its place through validation — not the other way around. Research is not a precursor to trading. It is the trading infrastructure itself.

●——● DESERT ZONES FRAMEWORK

Nine zones. The terrain of risk.

Salt Route's internal framework maps market and capital conditions to nine distinct zones — each carrying specific position sizing rules and risk protocols. Where you are determines how you trade.

ZONE I

The Oasis

Optimal conditions. All signals aligned. Full sizing permitted. The rare state where every filter clears.

OPTIMAL
ZONE II

The Caravan Route

Standard operating environment. Normal position parameters apply. The baseline state of operations.

STANDARD
ZONE III

The Dust Haze

Elevated ambiguity. Reduced size, tighter exits, higher filter threshold. Selectivity increases.

CAUTION
ZONE IV

The Mirage

False signal territory. High selectivity. Most setups disqualified. What looks real, isn't.

HIGH ALERT
ZONE V

The Sandstorm

Adverse volatility regime. Minimal exposure. Survival positioning only. The storm will pass.

DANGER
ZONE IX

The Salt Flat

Maximum drawdown threshold reached. System paused. Full review required before any resumption.
